Ahhhhhhh, That Feels Much Better!

I’ve had gallbladder issues for a long time. How long? Maybe as far back as 2000. I didn’t know anything about the gallbladder before that so I don’t know.

My doc thinks that for some Lyme patients, the spirochetes love to live in the gallbladder. ????? Who knows. With the pain I was having in my left back area, my doc even suggested that it COULD be my gallbladder again. But, I hadn’t had any gall pain for 6-8 months. Normally gall pain is under the right ribcage. It’s pretty intense. I know mine swells and I can feel the swelling. The pain can travel to the back or the shoulder area. The tube that bile squirts out of is very tiny, and that is why stones can get lodged. Unless you know how to do a Gallbladder Flush. There really is not need to remove something that is so important to your health. Trust me, with all the pain I’ve had from mine, if I thought I could live without it I would!!!! But I believe ALL our organs are vital!

With last weeks labs revealing, what they did and my guessing that it is probably Bartonella, I rifed big time for Bartonella. I didn’t have much of a “normal” herx. What I got was a severe gallbladder attack!!!! This thing woke me up early Sat morning at 1:30. I was crying in my sleep. I knew it was not a good time to start a flush, so I found the Castor Oil and did a hot compress for an hour. After 2 hrs I went back to bed.

Saturday, I got up and felt ok, until I ate breakfast. Then it hit me again. I started drinking lots of apple juice to soften the stones. I was so nauseous and in so much pain that I couldn’t wait for bedtime. I didn’t eat for the rest of the day since that is the plan for a flush. Then at bedtime, I downed my 1/2 C Extra Virgin Olive Oil chased by the juice of 1 lime (I didnt’ have a lemon). Then I went immediately to bed. I laid on my right side with my knees drawn up. Then I listened………YEP, I could hear my gallbladder squirting. I could feel it also. Plop, Plop, Plop!

I got up this AM and drank 1 TBsp of Epsom Salts in 1/2 glass of water….you talk about sick….OMIGOSH that really is the worst thing to drink, that and the EVOO…..but the plan is to give you the squirts so you’ll eliminate the stones. Sure enough about an hour later…..it hit…..and the stones came rolling out!

These are NOT my stones! I did not save them for pics!

(good heavens, look how full that gallbladder is…no wonder the person had it out!)

I passed at least one large stone….about the size of a nickle, then a couple a little smaller, then lots that were the size of the bean inside of a green bean and tons of little tiny stones.

You are probably asking, “how did you know they were stones?” Right? Gallbladder stones are almost always bright emerald green, I did have some that were brown due to my high bilirubin count. And they float! So, you just count all the little floaters!!!!

  • Cholesterol stones are usually green, but are sometimes white or yellow in color. They are made primarily of cholesterol.

(See this could be why I had so many stones….I’m dealing with severe anemia, high liver enzymes and high bilirubin)

I’ve told myself in the past that I need to stay in the habit of doing Gallbladder Flushes, but it really is so nasty that I conveniently forget!!! Maybe not after this attack. It was a doosy.

You can google many Gallbladder Flushes. They are a dollar a dozen. My old doc made it pretty simple….drink lots of apple juice, don’t eat past lunch, before bed drink 1/2 C EVOO chased by 1/4-1/2 C lemon or lime juice or grapefruit juice, then go straight to bed. Lie on your right side with knees drawn up. Stay there as long as you can. Get up in the AM and take 1 TBsp of Epsom Salts in 1/2 glass of water. Wait an hour and resume diet and supp’s. Then it will hit. You’ll know. If you have a lot of stones it’s best to following the procedure again in two weeks. Some people have to do these flushes every week or so. I think I better get into a better habit….it’s just so dang unpleasant!!!
