I Find Refuge

“Have mercy on me, O God, have mercy on me,

for in you my soul takes refuge.

I will take refuge in the shadow of your wings

until the disaster has passed.”

Psalm 57:1

If you’ve ever watched a Mama Chick, you know that she doddles after her little peeps with the utmost care. She’s never far from them to cover them with her wings in the unfortunate circumstance of a predator.

It amazes me so often how Scripture uses the analogies of the very nature that God Himself created to teach us life lessons.

We’ve been going through a stormy season in our lives. One of our peeps is hurting and it’s all I can do right now to put one foot in front of the other. I’m comforted in knowing that my Heavenly Papa God is so close that all He has to do is raise His wing to cover me in this storm. That I can stay right here beneath His wing until this disaster has passed.

Please pray for us.

(sorry there’s a big white space….if there is….somethings not working this AM on WordPress…it’s a lovely picture of Annie)
